A maritime incident has been reported in the Gulf of Guinea in the vicinity of position 03-30N 006-31E on February 22 at 1320Z involving a U.S.-flagged vessel. It has been confirmed. The nature of the event is reported to be a suspicious approach to an offshore supply vessel that did not result in a boarding. Exercise caution when transiting this area.
