Deepwater Port

The Deepwater Port Act of 1974 (DWPA), as amended, establishes a licensing system for ownership, construction, operation, and decommissioning of deepwater port structures located beyond the U.S. territorial sea for the import and export of oil and natural gas. The DWPA sets out conditions that deepwater port license applicants must meet, including minimization of adverse impacts on the marine environment and submission of detailed plans for construction, operation, and decommissioning of deepwater ports. Port Conveyance
|
Agencies and departments of the Federal government may find that they own property that they no longer require due to programmatic changes, relocation of resources, or other operational changes. The Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949, as amended, provides for the disposal of excess real property to other executive agencies that could benefit from that property.
