The fighting/insurgent activity reported in U.S. Maritime Alert 2018-002A, in the city of Aden, has reportedly ceased, though tensions remain elevated. The Port of Aden reportedly is operating normally at this time.  Exercise caution when transiting this area.  Further updates will be provided when available.  This alert will automatically expire on February 12, 2018.  Any questions regarding this Alert should be directed to MARADSecurity@dot.gov.
