ICYMI: United States Maritime Administration Chooses Provider for Secretariat Role in Support of U.S. Center for Maritime Innovation
The Maritime Administration (MARAD) recently made a selection for the secretariat of the U.S. Center for Maritime Innovation. The solicitation for the Center’s secretariat was made through the process of a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP). MARAD ultimately selected the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) to establish and maintain the U.S. Center for Maritime Innovation as its secretariat.

Biden-Harris Administration Announces Funding for 15 Small Shipyards in 12 States to Boost Productivity and Create Jobs
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) announced $8.75 million in grant awards to 15 small shipyards in 12 states through the Small Shipyard Grant Program. The funds will help shipyards modernize, increase productivity, and expand local job opportunities while competing in the global marketplace.
